Four Critical
Success Factors Tips that Quickly Improve your Bottom Line
Critical Success Factor One. Identify your critical success factors. They are key activities you need to do to make your future happen. The first example of a critical success factor is being an expert. You need to work on activities that build your competencies or showcase your expert status to get the praise of your peers and the referrals you want. The second critical success factor is being a great salesperson. You need to focus your time on business development to attract the customers or clients you need to pay your bills and fund your retirement. Sales success will increase your confidence in communicating your message of how you serve people with your product. More confidence leads to more sales. But the first step to improving profits starts with focus on your critical success factors.
Critical Success Factor Two. Align your time with critical success factors. You know you need to become a recognized expert. Schedule time to be at industry events to meet people you will invite you to speak at the next meeting. You can also write a book, create a newsletter or write articles to create some buzz about your name and the success that you deliver for your customers. You also know that you need to become a great salesperson. Most business people make a mistake of sharing what they do, not how they benefit their customers. Become very clear on your unique way to save the customer time or money or make them money and then talk, talk and talk some more about it.
Critical Success Factor Three. Be focused. Saying No is the most powerful thing that you can do to accelerate your business results. Time wasters like email can eat up your time and wreak havocs on your emotions before you have a chance to work on things that make you money. Protect your schedule. Time is the most important asset of a small business owner. Schedule time for revenue activities first thing in your day when your energy is higher. That means that you are saying yes to get up early to write your book or your next speech. This is investing your time in a key critical success factor of becoming an industry expert to position you to get higher paying clients.
Critical Success Factor Four. Prioritize key activities. Understand how each activity on your business schedule supports your unique critical success factors. Not all things in your day can be key activities but having a clear focus on what makes you and your business stand out from the crowd means executing activities related to you success factors.
Critical Success factors are key activities you need to do to make your future happen. Critical Success factors are things that must happen for revenue to occur.
